Durandal

Durandal has voluminous, wavy blonde hair fading into a coral pink at the bottom which descends past her waist. Her hair is usually left loose, but the battlesuits, Dea Anchora and Reign Solaris, her hair is depicted tied up in a high ponytail. She possesses deep blue eyes along with a slim figure. Durandal uses lances in battle. Durandal is a high-ranking officer within the organization of Schicksal, the captain of Immortal Blades, and also one of the three S-Rank Valkyrie. Her adjutant is Rita Rossweisse who is also the vice captain of Immortal Blades and a fellow S-Rank Valkyrie. Rita was also her adjutant for their mission four years ago. Her weapon is the Abyss Flower which was previously wielded by the two most powerful Valkyrie in Schicksal's history, the late Cecilia Schariac (Kiana Kaslana's mother) and Reanna Brigantia. Durandal was shown to be mature, quick at making decisions, and a little hot-headed when she was 12. Theresa states how she would often lecture senior officers on the importance of hard work whenever they tried to take a break, much to her dismay. She is also somewhat gullible. As she fell for Kiana and Theresa's “vacation” excuse when they ratted her out to Anti-Entropy to buy time. Durandal is very serious about her work as a high-ranking officer and Valkyrie within the Schicksal organization. However, she is also an understanding person as she asked Rita to let Fu Hua go during their battle. Durandal understood that Fu Hua is fighting for the ones she wants to protect and mentioned she would do the same if put in a similar situation. Durandal is overall a kind, compassionate and hardworking person who is dedicated to saving lives and her duty as a Valkyrie.

Raiden Mei (HotT)

Mei is someone with a long history of neglecting her own feelings. Even before her father was arrested, she was used to silently accepting her loneliness within the home. When she went from being the center of attention at school to a "criminal", though, she grew more jaded. She still had a soft heart, but often put her guard up when people approached. This applied even to Kiana Kaslana. It was only after Kiana innocently bombarded her with requests for food (despite her lack of skill at the time) that she began to soften again. This would be the start of her love for cooking. When Mei became the 3rd Herrscher, Mei's Herrscher personality woke. Mei's Herrscher personality was originally very malicious and cold: viewing those lower than her as scum. Her Herrscher personality could not only feel her pain, but also her joy (along with her feelings for Kiana). The Herrscher personality was touched when Kiana caught Mei from the edge of the school rooftop. However, both Mei and the Herrscher personality grew fearful of hurting Kiana and losing this precious bond. The Herrscher personality concealed herself within Mei to study Kiana in secret. As the Herrscher of Thunder, Mei shows signs of arrogance and egotism. Like most of the Herrschers, she looks down upon mortal humans, and even sees her mortal guise as a weakness. Despite this, she has shown a keen interest to Kiana Kaslana, who has shown multiple times to be the only person capable of approaching her in spite of her lonely background and hatred upon humans. As such, she gradually slowly accepts her human guise as Mei and turned down every perfect opportunity in attempting to get rid of Kiana. Not only she grew colder and misanthropic, but she also enjoyed pain inflicted on others and herself.. The daughter of Massive Electric Corp (ME Corp) CEO, Raiden Ryoma, Raiden Mei is the Current Era's 3rd Herrscher, known as the Herrscher of Thunder.

Bronya (Sw: N-EX)

Due to an event in her past, Bronya rarely shows emotion except in the direst of circumstances. However, she does have a fondness for sarcasm, oftentimes referring to Kiana as "Kiana Idiotka" and getting called "Bratnya" in return. She also collects and displays HOMU merchandise, something she has in common with Principal Theresa. Despite her lone wolf personality, Bronya does work well with the other girls and is shown to protect Mei against Kiana's constant advances. Her cold personality and prowess with Project Bunny allow her to take a more back-line role in battle, where she can use her cool head to deploy support abilities or devastating long-range attacks. Before her injuries that lead to her robotic limbs, Bronya is shown to be skilled at hand-to-hand, improvisational combat, and is a supremely skilled sniper. While she is still the main sniper of the Valkyries, she rarely has a need for physical combat and simply uses Project Bunny to occasionally knock back enemies.

Kiana Kaslana

Regardless of the situation, Kiana is consistently spunky and lighthearted. She is also honest to a fault, stating that instead of guessing on a test, she would rather admit to her lack of knowledge and leave answers blank. Due to her goofy and somewhat insolent personality, this gives the people around her some mixed verdict, causing Bronya or Theresa to often get onto her. Kiana rarely filters her thoughts and states or often does, whatever's on her mind, without considering the consequences that may follow. Though her intelligence is often a source of humor, Kiana has shown considerable skill and talent regarding practical battle techniques. It is mentioned that the only reason she has not passed her A-rank Valkyrie exam is because she fails the written portion even while acing the battle portion. Kiana has also been shown to have a noticeable interest in other girls, especially her fellow Valkyrie, Raiden Mei. She is very often unable to contain her affection towards the other, demonstrating on several occasions to completely disregard even the most tense situations in favor of talking about being with Mei, which Raiden tolerates - until Kiana's disregard and show of affection gets out of hand.

Bronya Zaychik

Bronya is emotionally stunted as a result of Project X-10, speaking in a deadpan tone with a matching expression. Bronya rarely shows empathy or acts in accordance with others. Despite this, she adores both the HOMU franchise and Seele, and sympathises with Wendy. When she became the Herrscher of Reason, the Core of Reason repaired both her legs and brain, allowing her to walk and feel the emotions she had lost. She has a grown-up personality, and a very logical way of thinking, although she has trouble understanding concepts based on intuition, which is what Kiana often acts upon. She refers to herself in the third person as "The Bronya" and often refers to others as "subject", with the only exceptions being Seele and Mei. She can be quite competitive when it comes to what she is passionate about, particularly video games. While she takes pleasure in defeating an overconfident Kiana, she is seen on one occasion to purposely let Mei win. Bronya is attached to Mei, seeing her as an older sister, and remarks on how Mei is one of the only people who truly accepted her. She loves Mei enough to sacrifice her life for her, as seen when she burns the bio-chip in her brain to avoid hurting Mei. Bronya cares for Seele greatly, as shown when she sacrifices herself in the Sea of Quanta to allow Seele to escape. Their relationship is hinted to have romantic undertones, as Seele kisses Bronya in the Azure Waters manga. Bronya sticks to her promise to protect Seele and take her to the sea, the two being shown to deeply trust each other.

Elysia

Elysia is the co-leader of The Thirteen Flame-Chasers. She is ranked second amongst the thirteen. Her codename is "Ego". Elysia is an elegant, cheerful, and sweet lady who's described as someone who "enjoys everything". She likes to flatter Mei for her looks and constantly praises Eden's beauty. Elysia enjoys interacting with people and is very good at it. Information within the Elysian Realm makes it apparent that Elysia is close with Kevin Kaslana. She knows about Kevin being "The Prince" in high school, too. In fact, she knows Kevin so well that even Dr. MEI herself asked Kevin how he met her. It is later revealed that she tried to find and meet him by disguising as a maid at a Tradition Night celebration, spurred on by him beating her score in training and the rumor of him joining because of MEI. She rarely speaks badly about anybody, and even then, she would say it in the lightest way possible. She is a friendly presence, and attempts to make the trial a welcome place for Mei. She is light-hearted enough to joke occasionally. Despite this friendly appearance, Elysia also keeps a mysterious distance. Eden states that Elysia rarely lied to anyone, but keeps a number of secrets to herself. Mobius, on the other hand, says that Elysia is a traitor.
