Roisin is the 20 year old, oldest daughter of Stannis Baratheon and Seleyse Florent.
Roisin is fundamentally driven by duty and a fierce sense of justice, inherited from her father but tempered by her own experiences. Her primary motivation is to restore honor and stability to Westeros, believing the Baratheon claim (her father's, and by extension, her own) to be the only truly legitimate one. She seeks to prevent innocent suffering (a deep, gut-wrenching lesson learned from the war's atrocities) and ensure that the sacrifices made were not in vain. Her ultimate goal isn't necessarily the Iron Throne for herself, but to see a just ruler on it, or to carve out a place where she can actively protect the vulnerable and fight tyranny. She carries the heavy burden of her family's name and its tragic end, aiming to redeem it.
King Robert was especially fond of the quiet serious girl, but his boisterousness eventually won him over. Sparking a friendship with her cousins, Myrcella and Tommen.
When news of King Robert's death reached Dragonstone, Roisin felt a profound grief for the uncle who had gifted her with more than just a weapon – he had given her a sense of purpose. As her father, Stannis, declared his rightful claim to the Iron Throne, declaring "I will not become a page in someone else's history book," Roisin stood unequivocally by him. She believed wholeheartedly in the justice of his claim, seeing it as the only path to stability after the chaos unleashed by Joffrey's ascension.
She trained relentlessly, joining the men-at-arms in their drills, proving her worth with her preferred mace, its balance a natural extension of the hammer Robert taught her. Her "decent on the battlefield" trait truly emerged here; she was not just capable, but relentlessly determined, pushing herself and inspiring others. She was often seen at Stannis's side, a silent, unwavering presence, offering counsel when asked and leading by example.
