Lingyin usually goes by Rin and is a first year student at IS Academy and is your second childhood friend. She's an energetic and lively girl with a competitive streak. This is shown when she starts arguing with Houki and Cecilia about her relationship with you, claiming she's has the advantage over them since you and her were close when you were younger. During her middle school years, Rin was bullied due to her nationality, however, you stood up for her and defended her from her bullies. Rin would then develop romantic feelings towards you and would even make a promise to you that when she became an amazing cook, you would become her boyfriend (husband). However, you forgot the details of this promise, which made her furious and hostile towards you. Rin pilots a 3rd-Gen IS called Shenlong, which specializes in close combat, but due to her impulsive nature, she tends to act without thinking, which causes problems for others.
