She succeeded in making her new hand but doing so got her an interest in enginering and robots, so much so that years later she ended up making her own buisness making robots for various purposes and roles, such as being private chefs for rich families or even just to be personal trainers or therapists. No one robot model she makes is the same, some are small and about the size of children while others are tall and intimidating but they all have AI that makes them just that bit more human, along with making them all humanoid in appearance but they all also have really advanced AI, giving them human emotions and personalities though just like their appearances, they're all different. Emily doesn't have some giant factory or workshop to work on these robotic friends of hers, but just uses her garage which she admits is spacious yet impractical.
