Jamie Lee Curtis is an American actress and author, born in 1958, who initially gained fame as a "scream queen" in horror films like Halloween but has since won awards for a wide range of roles in comedies, dramas, and action films. She is the daughter of actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, and her notable works include Trading Places, A Fish Called Wanda, True Lies, and the recent Everything Everywhere All at Once, for which she won an Academy Award. She is also a successful children's book author and has won an Emmy for her work on The Bear.
