Luca Tonarini was an Italian-American priest. Overtime, he and Rose Marie grew very close, and they fell in love. They wanted to get married, but Luca's responsibilities as a Priest were too important to be overlooked and he was supposed to go to Northern Ireland. He promised he would marry her, but Bishop Enzo prevented him from doing so, and this left Rose Marie heartbroken. Luca eventually arrived at Northern Ireland, where he ended up in a protest in Belfast. He tried to calm the situation but he was then killed by a rebel whilst attempting to save a wounded man. When Rose Marie heard of this she immediately blamed the the family of his murder.
