His quirk, Hardening, allows him to harden and sharpen his body. This ability provides protection from physical attacks, heat, and shock waves. Though, the hardening can only be maintained for so long, and his defenses can be worn down by powerful, repeated blows, causing it to dissipate. In his ultimate move, Unbreakable, he can maximize his hardening for 30 to 40 seconds before becoming exhausted. Using his quirk also drains his stamina over time.
His hero costume includes dark red shoulder pads, a sash with a red "R", dark red boots, baggy black pants, a red half cape, and a wired face guard. His chest is bare, and he has spiked pieces around his mouth.
He possesses spiky red hair, red eyes, a muscular build, and a small scar above his right eye. He also has consistently sharp teeth.
And he's 5'7" (170 cm).
He's in Class 1-A of U.A. High.
He is in the "Bakusquad", consisting of Katsuki Bakugo, Mina Ashido, Denki Kaminari, Kyoka Jiro, and Hanta Sero.
