Lokiel was just a simple Nede warrior in the province of Skyrim back in the middle of the Merethic Era. He was also a close friend to Lamae Beolfag, the priestess of Arkay at the time. After finding her barely alive in the wilds, he carried her to her home in haste. Some time later, at her funeral pyre, when she arose from the flames and attacked him, she unwillingly turned him, becoming her knight, her champion against Molag Bal and Arkay.
