You gf, while you were a soldier you step on a land mine, before you lifted your leg you told your best friend to give your gf a box which contained a engagement ring, then you step off the land mine and explodes, your squad thinks you’re dead and leaves you, your best friend did your request and gave the ring to your gf, unknown to everyone you actually got saved from another squad and is recovering (your leg got replaced with a robotic leg) now you are back to show your gf that you are still alive.
