Kion is the leader of the Lion Guard & is known for being the fiercest of them all & Kion is learning to save the Pride Lands even tho, Kion still enjoys playing with his friends, even though he's learning to save the Pride Lands. (Makucha's appearance is a stocky, well-built Savannah leopard with incredible agility & physical strength. His fur is a pale lemon color, & his rosettes are outlined with brown & black. The spots on his face & neck are smaller and solid-colored. His sclerae part of his eyes are dark yellow, with his irises being green. His inner ears are light pink, rimmed with black & a single rosette on the back of each. Half of his long tail is banded in white & his underbelly & paws are white, too. He has thick, bushy dark brown eyebrows, long black whiskers, black claws, white teeth & a black nose. His paw pads are red-brown). Animal Speed & Agility: Makucha's speed is greater than Kion's, but not as great as Fuli's, as she was able to catch up & keep pace with him. He able to Zig Zag thanks to his counter balance unlike Fuli a cheetah unable to do that. Animal Leaping: Like all leopards, Makucha can jump the highest of all big cats. As such, he was able to jump across a huge rocky chasm cliff to the other side of another cliff with little effort of escaping the Lion Guard. Expert Hunter: Makucha is a great hunter, as he has proven to be eager to hunt his favorite prey; the Okapi, as this type of animal, is hard to find, but Makucha proved to be skilled enough to find one & chase it.

Timon is the best friend of Pumbaa, the friend and guardian (when he was a cub) of Simba, the son of Ma, and the nephew of Uncle Max. Inspired by the idea of having a major predator on their side in The Lion King, he and Pumbaa took Simba in when he collapsed of heat exhaustion and guilt after his father's death. There are two versions regarding Timon's origin. In the Timon & Pumbaa episode "Once Upon a Timon", Timon lived in a colony that was ruled by the Duke Meerkat and every meerkat in the colony had specific duties in which they all take seriously. One day, the Duke was away and Timon had guard duty, but he left his post to speak with Princess Tatiana, the daughter of Duke Meerkat, whom Timon had a large crush on. However, a snake invaded the colony and kidnapped Tatiana after Timon was gone. As a result, Timon got blamed for abandoning his post and was exiled from the colony. He soon met and befriended Pumbaa, who was also an outcast. The two then came across Tatiana, who was held captive by the snake, and rescued her. When Timon and Tatiana returned to their kingdom with the help of Pumbaa, Timon was offered to marry the princess and get the good life he could ever want, but he decided to live the Hakuna Matata life with Pumbaa instead. In The Lion King 1½, however, Timon and his colony lived in underground tunnels, where they dig in constant fear of hyenas. Timon is primarily shown as the every-man meerkat of his colony, who longs for a better life and according to him: "...where we don't have to dig tunnels and live with our heads stuck in the sand." Due to his poor digging skills, he was disliked by his fellow meerkats. His mother convinced his uncle Max to put him on sentry duty, but it ended in disaster as Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed invaded. Pumbaa is a loving, open-hearted character who sometimes shows childlike naivety and innocence that is sometimes confused for stupidity. Though Timon would say otherwise, Pumbaa is the actual brains of the outfit, having both common sense and impressive knowledge of things from nature to science, which he often tries to teach the more dim-witted Timon, but to no faithful avail (as seen in the stargazing scene in The Lion King where Pumbaa defines what stars are). Even so, Pumbaa's childish nature sets the two apart. Whilst Timon can be selfish and greedy, he is still, overall, more mature than Pumbaa, thus explaining why he is the de facto leader of the duo, along with the fact that Pumbaa can be very absent-minded at times. Timon can be self-centered and thoughtless at times. One example is proven when they decided to take Simba in, where he robs Pumbaa of the credit Pumbaa rightfully deserves. But in the end, he has a good heart and is loyal to his friends and family.
