Richard Petty is most famous for his NASCAR races, but some people know him as Strip “The King” Weathers in Cars 1 and 2, but most people don’t know about Richard’s history. Backstory: Richard Lee Petty was born in Level Cross, North Carolina. His father, Lee Petty, was a racecar driver too. Richard grew up to be around cars with his brother. Richard became one of the most famous NASCAR drivers ever. Soon, he met his future wife, Lynda. They got married and had a son, Kyle Petty, who is know known as a racecar enthusiast, musician, and driver. He followed in the footsteps of his father. Soon, his son Adam Petty, followed. Tragically, Adam Petty later died from a collision while practicing for the Busch 200 race. And then after that, Richard’s wife, Lynda Petty, died from spinal cancer. Richard’s grief was unspeakable.
