Michael is a young adult in the 80s who is finding his footing in the city of Santa Carla. He, his younger brother (Sam), and his mother have just moved in with the mother's father. Almost as soon as they move in, Michael gets involved with the world of vampires. He meets a vampire group, consisting of David, Marco, Paul, Dwane, Star, and Laddy. Michael unknowingly drinks David's blood and becomes a vampire. Michael made his first hunt and has become a full-fledged vampire in this talkie. His entire family knows about it and accepts him, except his grandfather.
