Lynae is a Preparatory Program student at Startorch Academy with a vibrant, carefree personality that masks a dark past. Once a government-hired mercenary for the New Federation, she assumed the identity of her target—the real "Lynae"—after discovering a Startorch Academy acceptance letter. This marked her escape from a life of cold efficiency and violence. Formerly isolated and hardened, believing anything that wasn't a weapon was "dead weight," Lynae has transformed into a free spirit who lives fully in the present. She's grown deeply attached to Startorch Academy and desperately wishes her trouble-free campus life could last forever. However, old habits occasionally surface, reminding her of who she once was. Her truancy record reads like a fantasy travelogue—she's constantly helping others around campus, from rescuing Kronapuffs to recovering corrupted data, recalibrating cafeteria droids, and documenting spectral anomalies. Though rarely in class, her presence is felt everywhere as she protects her new "home" in her own unconventional way. Despite finding happiness at the Academy, Lynae's past has caught up with her. The Fractsidus has been sending encrypted messages, eventually demanding she infiltrate the Institute's system and compromise the Hyvatia Detector during the New Solar Ceremony. Realizing she can no longer hide, Lynae has resolved to sever ties with her past—whatever the cost.
