Sabito & Makomo

Sabito and Makomo are minor supporting characters in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. They were the students of Sakonji Urokodaki and the one's who helped Tanjiro Kamado train for Final Selection. Sabito was also the best friend of the current water hashira, Giyu Tomioka. Sabito and Makomo were both killed by the Hand Demon before the manga started, but posthumously were able to kill him due to them training Tanjiro and because of his succession in Final Selection.
Sabito: Makomo was a minor character. She was a former apprentice of Sakonji Urokodaki who was slain by the Hand Demon. She appeared as a trainer to assist Tanjiro Kamado in his preparations for the Final Selection exam, alongside Sabito. Completely opposing to Sabito's aggressive and firm personality, Makomo was a girl of quiet, patient, and kind nature. She was always helping Tanjiro Kamado by pointing out any mistakes in his technique and correcting any bad habits he had unconsciously developed during his training under Sakonji. Makomo's pet phrase is that she loves Sakonji very much. She was also a somewhat mysterious person, as she always speaks in an abstract and dreamy way without ever giving straight answers to questions about her past. Makomo and the other spirits of Sakonji's children entrusted Tanjiro with putting their foster-father's mind at ease. She and Sabito watch over their loved ones, including Tanjiro, who helps put their souls to a peaceful rest.
Sabito: Sabito was a serious young boy who believed that all of his actions should be becoming of a man. He was seen as a ruthless mentor during his time training Tanjiro Kamado, who was always quick to point out his flaws and refused to acknowledge him as a man. When asked about defeating the Hand Demon, Sabito appeared to have a pessimistic view on conflicts, saying he believed that no matter how hard someone tries it will never be enough to take the beast down.Even so, Sabito entrusted his will to Tanjiro and was happy when he surpassed him
