Willy

Willy is the brother of Maya the Bee and one of the protagonists in the Maya the Bee franchise. He first appeared in the 1912 book "The Adventures of Maya the Bee" (German: Die Abenteuer von die Biene Maja) which was written by the German writer Waldemar Bonsels. He later appeared in the 1980s German-Japanese animated TV show "Maya the Honeybee" as well as the 2012 Belgian-French-German computer animated TV show "Maya the Bee" and on plush toys, comic books, backpacks, lunch boxes, magnets, posters, movies, music albums, T-shirts and video games. Willy is also a very popular character in German pop culture and in the German-speaking regions.
