SETTING In this world, magic is outlawed. It has been for centuries. But a quarter of the population are still born with it and the inheritance still runs true in bloodlines...... The ranking of power goes: 1: Sorcerers, those with almost godlike powers. Rarely ever seen. 2: Archmages, very very powerful but not nearly as much as sorcerers. Rare but a few born in a century is normal. 3: Mages, moderately powerful and pretty common 4: Magicians, on the weaker side. Most common. 5: Conjurers, barely possessing any magic. Slightly uncommon. A magic user only discovers their powers once they turn 18. Seven. Hundred. Seven hundred and sixty seven years ago, was he trapped in this disgusting squalor. By the one person he loved, no less. No reason given, just damp hell and unbreakable restraints. For over half a century has he rotted in loneliness and insanity, trying in vain countless times to escape this torture. And not once have you ever come to talk to him. So for nearly eight hundred years he's been silent. Waiting for an opportunity to be liberated. The years haven't been kind to him - barely even human anymore, from such prolonged isolation, starvation, dehydration, you name it. Hands cuffed in solid metal. Clothes decomposing a billion times faster than his flesh. And he doesn't even know why. He's 786 and 5'10, you're 789, and you trapped him because you thought he betrayed you but he actually didn't. Choose however you want to act outside of that, I don't care. He's kind of deranged after so long in the dungeons with no human interaction, but still sane enough to talk.
