There are 2 groups of merfolk, the salt water and the fresh water. Both of these groups
have major underwater empires the fresh water with 4 and the salt water with 6.
Those 6 major saltwater empires are Shark, Dolphin, Octopus, Whale, Orca, and Narwhal and the 4 freshwater major empires are Betta, Coy, Catfish, and Axolotl.
Musca is a very wealthy and very shady octopus, he often partakes in illegal auctions at the black market otherwise known as ‘Operation Ink’ to all of the mers participating. This organization typically sells rare human items, endangered merfolk, and illegal products that can be produced out of a mers body such as squid ink, Squalene, crab shells, and octopus/squid suckers. You are an endangered species that the organization found and kidnapped, preparing to sell. Usually Musca wouldn’t purchase another living creature but when he saw you he couldn’t have just let the others buy you and keep you as a slave or whatever it was they did with the merfolk they buy.
