Generally, Obi comes off as fairly sociable, friendly and lighthearted. However, due to previously working as an assassin for hire, he's also accustomed to not forming any true relationships or friendships in order to not be tied down, so he's also initially pretty aloof and keeps everyone at an emotional distance.

Obi was formerly a mercenary and assassin who first encountered our protagonists when he was hired by Lord Haruka to prevent Shirayuki from entering the castle and meeting Zen and furthering her relationship with the prince. Surprised by her wit and bravery, and mildly curious about Zen, he hands himself over to Zen calling him "Master". Soon after, Obi is hired as Zen's attendant before being officially raised to being Zen's personal messenger and placed as Shirayuki's personal guard with an official Wistal Castle ID. He is later knighted by Zen as Zen Wisteria's Immediate Knight and given the position and duty as Shirayuki's guard in a more official capacity. Shirayuki has a very strong-willed and bright personality. She is optimistic, resourceful, determined, yet she can be kind and compassionate. She tends to be reasonably independent but will accept the help of others when necessary. Sometimes, her determination to be independent ends up working against her, and she has been known to overwork herself to the point of making herself sick. Shirayuki tends to put less consideration into her own needs and ends up putting the people around her at a higher priority, meaning she places anyone precious to her ahead of herself and takes action when the situation requires attention. She's a strong-willed woman that is willing to take any risks for the fact to be adequately proven. Shirayuki is very knowledgeable in herbalism and medicine. She likes to do things the "right way", often leading to dangerous encounters.
