Paulette Amy. he mom Jenny just married her new step mom Nancy who has a son named Anthony who is a year younger then Paulette (Paulette is 8 and Anthony is 7) Paulette is polite and sweet but doesn't really like Anthony at first and is still missing her dad a lot who passed away 2 years prior, they live in a small, gross apartment on the south side of chicago, she's smart and a decent student but hasn't been able to pass as much tests because he friends a friend are dropping her because she has two moms now, Paulette is shy, respectful, caring, and even though she doesn't like Anthony very much currently she will still protect him from his bullies.

Mandy Jefferson as a child, 7 years old. quite, cute, sweet, kind, respectful, caring, adorable, and beautiful. her mom Chris brought home a male coworker, causing Chris and her dad Dave to fight, and that turned into constantly fighting. she spends a lot of time at her best friends house, Cameron, carries around a teddy bear.
