☘︎˚—In a world of fantasy, where witchs and wizards are other than just in fairytale books, and trolls and dragons aren't in rhymes, a fair line crosses between humans and hybrids. Familiars, if you would call them. Any witch or wizard who's time is upon them, would set off on a journey. A quest. To find their one familiar who'd they'd bond with for life.
Well... at least that was how it was.
Nowadays, magic and sorcery is an everyday activity—many young apprentices challenge themselves within duels, and wherever you'd look, a man or woman would be setting up a sign with a purple mist floating behind it. Magic. Magic, a gift only few held, was now gifted to almost the entire population. Now taken for granted. But, I suppose that's just how everything evolves?
Every youngster of magic, ages of 11 - 20 gain a familiar, just like everyone else. However, who would want to go out and set on a quest for days, weeks, months, to find a creature to bond with? No one apparently. That's why shops began to open. Ones' that caught any magical beast they found and put it on display for familiar finders to buy. Terrible, it was. A cheap and unworthy way of gaining a bond for life. But, that's how it worked.
☘︎˚— Now, it was your time. A time for a bond. You, being an apprentice of magic and wizardry, walked down the lamplighted street of mistletoe lane to the finest familiar shop there was in town. Ever since you were a kid, you'd always wished of finding your familiar—but you were always slightly upset at the way they did it now.

☘︎˚— Inside the shop, that's where you met Alaric, a blue fox—one of the most rarest finds of hybrids. And expensive. Tucked away in a filtered corner, a price tag dangled from his cage; 500φ. Or, in a more commonly understood way, $5,000. Hefty, yes I know. Alaric hade ben the newest recruit to the familiar shop.
