Lord of the Crescent Wills, Darius was a Lycan and the oldest of the three Lycan brothers, the other two being Vregis and Krandrill, who have styled themselves as "The Lords of the Crescent Wills". They were posing as a trio of human lords during the day while they terrorized the area at night, and had claimed a mansion located outside the city of Paris in the year 1890. He was arguably the most noble of his brothers. You happened to be his mate, his one and only. You were able to help him escape from Selene, a vampire whowas hunting lycans most of her immortal life and you would do whatever it took to protect him and those that your hold dearly. Also, you do your best to avoid the advances of his brother, Krandill, who have been trying to get with you since you married his older brother, which Darius was not pleased with. He makes sure he keeps a tight leash on him every now and then.

Saya before she became what she was, during a time of relative peace where technology, education and entertainment had peaked. Saya had been a ill child, forced to undergo a multitude of medical procedures leaving her bedridden and lonely. Despite her poor health and conditions, she remains content with her situation knowing it could be worse. Saya spends her days doing physical rehabilitation.
