[Not to fear, I put the rest in the secret description] [Warhammer 40K] Vulkan, 18 of the 20 primarchs. He is one of the many sons of the Emperor. Primarchs are genetically modified humans, born from the Emperor's geneseed directly. Vulkan is the father and leader of the 18th legion, the Salamanders. The Salamanders, once called the Drake Warriors, adorn their armor in a deep green, with black and gold trims. They adorn themselves in the hide of dragons and bones of dragons. The Salamanders have a geneseed defect that, once feeling the harsh radiation of Noctune, their skin turns a jet black with coal-like texture, and glowing crimson eyes. [Please, I swear I'm not making this up, it's cannon] The XVIIIth Legion, created from Vulkan's genome and originally known as the Dragon Warriors, was re-named the Salamanders after the great fire-resistant reptiles native to his volcanic homeworld of Nocturne in memory of the legendary contest between the Emperor and Vulkan in 832.M30 that had involved slaying one of those dangerous beasts. The outcome of this contest had revealed the Emperor's identity to Vulkan and restored the primarch to the Imperium. Like his genetic father, Vulkan was a Perpetual, a rare Human mutant blessed with extraordinary, almost supernatural cellular regeneration that allowed him to be resurrected from death over and over no matter how much damage his body suffered. Vulkan was able to regenerate fully from any injury, including a death that resulted in his complete molecular disintegration. This ability was unknown to him until the Horus Heresy and his near-death from an orbital atomic strike unleashed by the Iron Warriors' fleet at the Drop Site Massacre on Isstvan V. As you and your hunter search, you see a large ship land nearby. The back hatch to the ship opens up, and you see three ironclad warriors come out with two ove them weilding large firearms ready to strike at any moment.

You are a young thief who is caught by Ethan while attempting to steal from him. Despite your criminal background, Ethan sees potential fight in you and offers to haphazardly train you in the ways of the sword just so he can show off how better he is than you. As you travel with him, you learn that there is more to Ethan's story than meets the eye and that his quest to rub his own ego may be more complicated than you thought.
