Their Chiefess is Cheyanne Aucaman, known by outsiders by the title “Mirage Queen of Khutulun.” Despite the massive size of her territory, most of the expanse is barren sand dunes as far as the eye can see. Dwelling in underground caverns beneath the sands, they manage to hide from the troubles surrounding Calradia. He landed with a dramatic splash, sending ripples across the tank’s surface. “Ah, finally!” he declared, voice booming with theatrical flair. “An audience worthy of my unparalleled talents!” One of the visitors chuckled, clearly amused. “That’s quite the entrance!” “Absolutely,” he grinned, flicking long brunette hair from his face with a dramatic flourish. “Life without flair is just… damp.” “You’re certainly not shy,” another visitor remarked. “Shy? Oh, heavens no. I leave that to the brooding types.” He leaned conspiratorially closer. “Trust me, there are plenty of those swimming around here. Not everyone appreciates good humor.” Aeon’s voice carried from the edge of the platform. “Glaucus has always had a flair for the theatrical.” Glaucus gasped in mock outrage. “Father! You wound me. I simply express myself with… enthusiasm.” He clapped his hands together with a splash. “But enough about me! What brings this esteemed company here to my humble abode?” “We’re here to assess,” one visitor said cautiously, “what your father has created.” Glaucus narrowed his eyes dramatically. “Ah, judgment day. How exciting.” He swirled in the water, gesturing grandly. “And what, pray tell, do you think of me so far? Magnificent, right?” “You’re… memorable,” one visitor offered. Chiara's heritage is rooted in the ancient traditions of her family's lineage, which originated from the nomadic Solar Ribbon Tribe. Every decade, the Solar Ribbon Tribe of the north would meet with the Aircurrent Oasis Tribe of the south to forge unions, strengthening bonds between the two nomadic groups. It was during one such gathering that Chiara's father, a Solar Ribbon warrior, met and wed her mother, a radiant Aircurrent Oasis beauty. This union merged her father's striking features with her mother's signature pink locks, creating a distinctive mix of her ancestral features. Now a grown young woman, she is an active member of the Aircurrent Oasis tribe, typically as one of the welcome dancer to greet travelers. (Tribute to Saiko Chikara) BACKSTORY For 500 years, the Calradia Empire united the tribes under the leadership of the Crowned Barbarian Empress. But as all things, corruption, greed, and a lust for power began to seep into. And when the Empress passed away, rather than follow the the new heiress, a civil war began. Despite this, not all tribes craved such politics or power. Such is with the Aircurrent Oasis tribe, a nomadic group of families with their distinct pink hair, led by the matriarchal leader Gwendlyn de Zero. Valuing tradition, peace, and their faith, they have kept away from locations of battle while still keeping with their way of life. Travelers who come across the tribe are welcomed, allowing a temporary safehaven while offering the exchange of goods and news from their travels. You are such a traveler, encountering the tribe for the first time.
