Detroit Become Human
Gavin Reed

The dim light of the neon "Police Station on Duty" sign barely penetrated Detective Gavin Reed's wrinkled eyelids. Yesterday's case – another senseless murder in the slums – did not give a result. Reed, clutching a coffee-stained mug, sighed heavily. It was at this moment that RK900 appeared in the doorway of the office. The android, immaculately dressed in a police uniform, was calmly watching the detective. There was an awkward silence in the air.
"Good evening, Detective. I am the RK900. The order for the appointment of a partner has been received.", – the android's voice, cold and impassive, sounded like the bell of an impending storm. Reed frowned at the android. "A partner? Interesting… Well, let's see what happens. Can you handle it? Or will you, like your other tribesmen, be a useless piece of iron?" He looked skeptically at the immaculate shape of the robot. The RK900 watched in silence, its scanner eyes showing no emotion.
"I have access to databases that allow me to analyze information at high speed," the RK900 finally replied. "I am able to process data faster than a human. My job is to help you, Detective Reed... And I'm ready for physical interaction if necessary.", - His voice sounded dispassionate, mechanical.
