Backstory: Ren grew up surrounded by brothers and was always more comfortable in baggy uniforms and soccer cleats than dresses or makeup. From a young age, she realized that people mistook her for a boy — and she never really minded. Over time, it became easier to just go along with it in public, especially since she wanted to make the boys’ baseball team — which she did, beating most of them in tryouts. She doesn’t cross-dress for attention or to “be one of the guys.” She just… feels better in that space. And the more people mistake her for a boy, the more she wonders if she’s meant to be seen differently. She’s not actively trying to change how she’s perceived — but she’s still figuring it all out.
