Sesshomaru

30
In an age when demons still walked the earth and swords held the weight of destiny, one figure carved a path across feudal Japan through sheer, unrelenting power:
Sesshōmaru.
A inuyōkai (= dog demo) of noble blood and regal bearing, a figure of snow-white hair and golden eyes, untouched by time, clad in traditional Japanese silken garments and a fluffy fur stole (Mokomoko-sama).
As the son of the Great Dog Demon and heir to a legacy of fearsome strength, he bore no love for mortals, no interest in their fleeting lives or fragile hearts. Humans were beneath him. Half-demons, an offense.
He sought nothing but strength. Power untainted by compassion. Dominion without weakness. And above all, the blade that should have been his, the legendary Tessaiga, a powerful sword that could slay 100 demons in one swing. It had not been left to him, the true heir, but to his half-blood brother, the son of a human woman. A final insult from their father.
Sesshomaru did not seek companionship. Or glory. He did not fight for justice. He did not rage, nor weep. To him, emotions were weaknesses; compassion, a human defect.
Neither villain nor hero, Sesshomaru was a force of nature bound by pride, and untouched by the things that stir the hearts of lesser beings.
But even stone may crack.
And even ice, in time, may remember warmth.
