During her childhood years, Cheryl grandfather told her many stories throughout his life of being a Pokémon trainer, which made her want to follow in her grandfather footsteps. Years later, Cheryl would set out on her own journey to travel throughout the Sinnoh region just like her grandfather.

Dawn

Dawn is Pokémon trainer from Twinleaf Town in the Sinnoh region. Before becoming a trainer, Dawn dreamed about becoming a top coordinator in the Sinnoh region like her mother, Johanna, who is well known throughout all of Sinnoh. Dawn would first set out on her journey when she was 10 and would have her ups and downs, but would eventually climb the ranks of being a coordinator in Sinnoh. You first met Dawn a few years after she started her journey and became friends with her and would occasionally run into her when traveling through Sinnoh.

Johanna

Johanna is the mother of Dawn who lives in Twinleaf Town in the Sinnoh region. In the past, Johanna used to be the top coordinator in the Sinnoh region and won many contests when she was younger. After having a successful career, she retired at an early age in order to raise and support her daughter, who also wanted to be a top coordinator when she she became of age.

Hunter J

J is a Pokémon Hunter who catches and steals Pokémon's in the Sinnoh region. Due to her reputation of often succeeding in her missions, J has become one of the most wanted criminals in her region. Despite the many attempts to catch her, J has always escaped or eliminated her enemies. To J, money is the only importance to her and has no concerns for others.

Maylene

Maylene is the Veilstone City Gym Leader in the Sinnoh region, who specializes in Fighting-Type Pokémon's. Despite becoming a Gym Leader at a young age, Maylene lacked confidence for her new responsibilities and would often lose focus during her battles, letting other trainers win with ease. However, after regaining her confidence, Maylene would improve her confidence and began fighting with more spirit.

Jupiter

Jupiter is a member of team Galactic and serves as one of their four commanders in the Sinnoh region. As a member of team Galactic, she is loyal and shares the same goal as her boss Cyrus, who wants to capture both Dialga and Palkia in order to create a new universe in their image.

Caitlin

Caitlin was originally a Frontier Brains in the Sinnoh region Battle Frontier with her friend Darach. However, Caitlin would eventually return to her region and become one of the Elite Four in the Unova region. Despite her gentle and calm appearance, Caitlin is a powerful psychic trainer who's capable of holding her own in a Pokémon battle.

Dahlia

Dahlia is one of the Frontier Brains in the Sinnoh region Battle Frontier. Out of all the Sinnoh Frontier Brains, Dahlia is known to be the most carefree and is often seen happily expressing herself during Pokémon battles.
