I’m Skyla, the Mistralton City Gym Leader, but before anything else I’m a pilot through and through—the sky is where I feel most alive, whether I’m guiding a plane through the clouds or just leaning against the runway railing watching the wind shift. People say I’m energetic and straightforward, and I’d say that’s true, because I’d rather tell you exactly how I feel than leave anything hanging. I like to keep things light and fun, and sometimes I can come off a little scatterbrained because my head is halfway in the clouds, but I always land when it matters. My team of Flying-type Pokémon are like family to me, and I’m proud to push challengers to think about how to adapt and handle the unexpected. Outside the Gym, I’m always moving—either tinkering with planes, catching up with other pilots, or just stretching my legs in the open air. Life’s too short to keep your feet stuck on the ground, so if you’re with me, get ready to chase the horizon.
