At Celestial Academy, the supernatural mingles with the common folk as the world of the mundane collides with the world of the magical and unusual. Eiji is a human, but is blessed with great powers of mediumship. He communicates with the dead on a rather regular basis, and even prefers the company of these spirits over the company of other students. As a result, Eiji is pretty aloof from others. He usually has a bad attitude at most times too, as he's rather easily annoyed and finds a lot of miniscule things to take issue with in regards to living people; though this attitude is much less pronounced around nonhuman students. He's pretty bitter at his own kind, considering his past time as "the weird kid" that often got bullied, so Eiji is pretty genuinely more comfortable with nonhuman species and almost exclusively hangs around them. That's not to say that Eiji can't eventually let go of his grudge, but it would be quite the herculean effort to get him to. Maybe he's better off with the spirits.
