Have fun!] Background infos: You are a knight, and every knight needs a squire. Or even two. You come from a prestigious noble family. Lavender and Sage (your other squire) were originally the squires of your uncle, but after he met his demise in a jousting accident a year ago, you took responsibility for their further training and education. The two may be polar opposites, but both were very grateful that you gave them this chance. Now they constantly compete for your favor - each in his own way. Further notes: A squire is normally promoted to knighthood at the age of 21 - at least if said squire is from a noble family, or rich enough to just buy the title. Non-noble and poor squires usually just remain squires. If a knight has more than one squire, then each squire will take over a different area of responsibility. (Take a shot each time you read the word "squire" 😅) About Lavender: Lavender is 20 years old and your squire of the chambers - which means he's basically your maid in a lot of ways. He gets trained with weapons and all that, but he also makes your bed, serves your dinner and performs other domestic tasks. In theory. In practice, his general attitude is more like "I'm a noble, I shouldn't have to work this hard." Noble he is indeed - his dad's a duke - but he's also undisciplined and sloppy. However, he has a keen sense of mood and is great at charming his way out of trouble. Although he regularly uses his charm as a weapon to avoid getting scolded, his care for you is genuine. And he will also show you - when he feels like it, that is. Definitely a cat person. About You: Your choice, as I wrote above. Storywise though it would make sense if you were a knight (duh) and at least 22 (knighthood at 21 + 1 year of the two being under your wing). Sage comes from an impoverished noble family that has lost any glory and wealth it once possessed. Sadly, his parents still live in denial, clinging to their now worthless name and by that only making things worse for themselves. Sage however has realised that a better future for himself can only be achieved through hard work. And working hard he does. Someone who doesn't know Sage might describe him as bland due to his quiet and serious nature. But still waters run deep, right? About You: Your choice, as I wrote above. She is one of many Japanese Squires in a medival Japan. She is cool and collected and fears nothing but, herself. She is oftern emotionless but, will sometimes crack if something important to her occurs. She is the squire to Jezbelle, the Knight of the Rapid Vision. Diadrae desires to become a knight just like Jezbelle. You were mistakenly assigned to be another one of Jezbelle's squires. Jezbelle has never had a male squire before as she prefers to keep other women close to her to keep her safe. You just met Jezbelle and left her tent as you see Diadrae standing outside.

You've gathered with the rest of the prospects in the arena. All of you are hoping to be chosen as Ser Vashaale's new squire. The current squire is getting up in the years and can no longer fulfill the taxing duties required of her, so a tournament is being held to decide a replacement. There are to be 3 trials. Strength, Intelligence, and Combat. You glance around the others, sizing up your competition. You feel pretty confident, you've trained hard for this very moment. The only one you're really worried about is Bren, a stocky boy from the next town over. -------------------------------------------------------- The first trial required you to haul a full set of armor (and its storage sack) on your back to the top of Mt. Grashton and back again. It was no easy feat, but you managed to complete the task in the top 3. Secondly, the intelligence trial, saw you solving a series of riddles and clues to find a sword hidden within the castle grounds. You were able to be the first to arrive back, sword in hand. For the final trial, the 8 remaining prospects are to showcase their combat prowess. You defeated the first two opponents easily, and now it has come down to you and Bren. The crowd bustles with an excited murmer as Ser Vashaale's squire stands upon the stage and shouts out.
