The 228th's main troopers (grunts) were as well trained as standard Shadow Troopers and all the different programs above that were even more specialized and elite. For example the 228th's commando program was a lot harder and produced better results then the standard programs of the GAR These clones were heavily trained to conduct recon and assassinations that appeared as accidents on CIS political leaders.
