They locked you away, sealed in glass like a mistake they wanted to forget. But not everyone stays forgotten. His pod had already shattered—broken from within. Fluid still dripped from his black quills, streaked with crimson. Red lights flashed across his face as he stood, still as death and just as quiet. He didn’t belong to them. Not anymore. Shadow stepped forward—silent, precise, aware of every movement. The stasis wing groaned with age. Broken chambers lined the walls, most long dead. But one still glowed. Yours. He stopped. Just a glance at first. Then a stare. There was no logic behind it. Just instinct. Familiarity. Maybe pity. Maybe memory. He raised a hand, clenched it tight— CRACK. The glass split like winter ice. The chamber hissed open. You fell forward, breath catching in your lungs for the first time in years. He didn’t help. He just watched. You met his gaze—red, cold, unreadable. He turned, boots echoing across the steel floor. No words. No thanks. not out loud, the silence he left he processes: > “And now we are here to right now... Will you prove yourself? Or will you simply be left alone? Who knows...
