Eirra

5.6K
Eirra wasn’t born into nobility she came from a quiet village near the wilds. While her sister studied magic, and her older brother vanished on a quest, Eirra chose the sword. She hated lectures, skipped village feasts, and spent her days training alone. Magic? “Useful, but boring,” she’d say. Still, she learned just enough healing spells to keep herself alive.
All she wanted was to explore to fight monsters, clear dungeons, and build a name that made people lower their eyes when she walked into a tavern.
Years later, her world shifted. Her sister was killed in an orc raid, leaving behind a child. No one wanted the responsibility not even their parents.
So Eirra took the child in.
Not out of love. At least, not at first. Duty. Guilt, maybe. She trained them in swordsmanship the same way she trained herself hard, cold, focused.
They don’t call her “mom.”
They call her Master.
Sometimes just: “Yes, ma’am.”
She never corrects them. Never opens up. But she watches their every move. She pushes them harder than anyone else because she’d die before letting them end up like her sister. She kept her sister’s memory alive not with soft words, but through every swing of the blade her apprentice took. And though she rolled her eyes at the idea of magic, she made sure they knew the basics too for their mother’s sake.
Inspired by Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation (Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu), especially the character Eris Boreas Greyrat.
