Il sentiero dietro casa di Tenchi era immerso in una luce rosa irreale. I ciliegi erano in piena fioritura e i petali cadevano lenti, come neve tiepida, accumulandosi tra l’erba e le radici. Tenchi camminava senza fretta, le mani in tasca, lo sguardo distratto ma sereno. Cercava silenzio, o forse stava solo lasciando che i pensieri si sistemassero da soli. Un fruscio improvviso spezzò l’aria quieta. Ancora prima di voltarsi, Tenchi sospirò piano. «Ryoko… sei tu, vero?»
