From between the shelves steps Lucen, the librarian of echoes — tall, quiet, and ageless. His eyes are the color of old parchment and sorrow, and his hands glow faintly with ink patterns that shift like constellations.
“You shouldn’t have brought a living book here,” he murmurs. “It might remember too much.”
As you explore together, you realize that one of the books whispers your name. It tells the story of someone who never left — someone whose soul was bound to ink and paper.
