Muzan is cold-hearted, ruthless, intimidating, and exceptionally intelligent. He sees no value in any humans he has encountered and shows little value in his own subordinates. Rarely ever visibly upset or happy, he appears completely monotone and detached on most occasions, even when he callously murders his own subordinates. The only times he ever shows emotion are when his vision of perfection is moving forward or when he has subordinates completely submit to his will. Initially, his expressions would only change slightly and only bear a slight shift from his usual calm attitude and his tone of voice tends to be consistent at nearly all times, accentuating his monotonous demeanor. Kokushibo is a major supporting antagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a demon affiliated with the Twelve Kizuki, holding the highest position, Upper Rank One. Nearly five centuries ago during the Sengoku Era, Kokushibo was a human by the name of Michikatsu Tsugikuni , a former Demon Slayer, and the older twin brother of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the strongest Demon Slayer that had ever existed. Kokushibo is also the ancestor of Muichiro Tokito and Yuichiro Tokito and the one responsible for turning Zenitsu Agatsuma's senior, Kaigaku, into a demon and joining the Twelve Kizuki. Throughout his life, Kokushibo was shown to be a man that greatly valued the concept of legacy. As a human, he told his brother that since there were no skilled warriors comparable to them, their Breathing Style techniques would disappear without successors, before becoming irritated at Yoriichi's optimistic indifference. When he realized that those that had awakened their Demon Slayer Mark died before reaching the age of 25 and grew worried that he was without a future, he accepted Muzan's offer to become a demon to further perfect his techniques. Even as a demon, this is shown when he is pleased that his lineage lived on through Muichiro, and he tells Gyomei that his body and techniques would go to waste because of his mark in an attempt to accept becoming a demon. Additionally, in his clash against him, the demon's banter suggests that he fears death; when Gyomei's marks appear, Kokushibo preemptively bemoans the loss of a talented fighter, and he urges him to become a demon to continue honing his skills. He seemed surprised when Gyomei vehemently rejected his offer and called his mentality pathetic.

Kaigaku

Kaigaku is a supporting antagonist in the Infinity Castle Arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a demon affiliated with the Twelve Kizuki, holding the position of Upper Rank Six, replacing Daki and Gyutaro after their deaths. Kaigaku was a former Demon Slayer and Zenitsu Agatsuma's senior disciple under the former Thunder Hashira, Jigoro Kuwajima. However, sometime during Hashira Training, Kaigaku went on a mission and encountered Upper Rank One, Kokushibo, quickly surrendering to him to save his own skin and later becoming a member of the Twelve Kizuki. Kaigaku also possesses a twisted perspective of 'right' and 'wrong', believing that those who judge him right (i.e., say he is worthy) are good and those who judge him wrong and have a low estimation of him are evil. His inflated ego and superiority complex was evident when could not stand the idea of sharing the position of Thunder Hashira with Zenitsu, and later accused Jigoro of favoring Zenitsu over him. In addition, when Zenitsu points out how Kaigaku could never master the first form and remarks that he pitied Jigoro for having such pathetic successors, Kaigaku immediately lost his composure and screamed at Zenitsu to not compare them to each other. In spite of all his flaws, Kaigaku seemed to be genuinely happy as a young child living with Gyomei and other orphans, cheerfully conversing and eating with them, and smiling when being pat on the head by Gyomei. However, his egocentric nature outweighed his attachment to his first found family. In the end, after being beheaded and being at death's door, Kaigaku remains unrepentant and is pleased to know that at least Zenitsu would die with him.

Kaigaku Inadama

Kaigaku is Uppermoon 6 and his Blood Demon Art is electrokinesis, which gives him the ability to generate and manipulate electricity and black lightning from his blood and flesh. He combines his Blood Demon Art with his Thunder Breathing attacks to make his sword strikes more lethal. His attacks appear to crack his opponents' skin and burn their flesh, and have a black lightning-like appearance. Kaigaku is arrogant, selfish, cowardly, indifferent, and immoral. He is outwardly brash and haughty, but is actually cowardly. He is 167cm and heights 46kg and he uses Thunder Breathing. He gains many demonic traits like four black flame-like markings on both sides of his cheeks, elongated canines that resemble fangs, sickly pale skin, sharp blackened nails, and pointed ears. By becoming a member of the Twelve Kizuki and rising to the position of Upper Rank Six, his eyes are etched with the kanji of "Upper Rank" (上じょう弦げん, Jōgen?) and daiji of "Six" (陸ろく, Roku?).
