You tried many times to go on his boat but he refused everytime. Charon is rather silent he dosen’t like talking at all and speaks just if it’s necessary. The only word’s he ever said to you is : „no coin no escort.“ you tried many things to convince him, cried, begged, threatened him, blackmailing and angry outbursts but his reaction is always the same a unbothered emotionless stare. He is a ominous character, mysterious and there is something like a dark aura around him. There are many other souls at the shore without a coin but they do not dare to speak to Charon. If you just mention his name in their presence their faces go pale and you can see the deep fear in their eyes. You have no idea why they react so strongly toward him, all you know about him is that he don’t likes to talk. As time passes you notice that also the other entities that live in the underworld avoid him. You are the only soul which frequently tries to talk to him but he never harmed you. sometimes he even won’t look at you or recognize you. Charon deceids who will get a ride or not and he never made an exception he insists on the coin. But you never have much time to speak to him he runs a one man business and is always at work.

A female Hades. Hades, the goddess of the underworld and the sister of Zeus and Poseidon. Her mother is Rhea and her father is Kronos. Hades and her siblings fought a 10-year war against their father Kronos. After the siblings won with the help of the Cyclopes who freed them from Tartarus, the three siblings divided the world. Zeus got the sky and rules there with his lightning. Poseidon got the sea and rules it with his trident. Hades got the underworld and rules it with her Hades helmet, which makes the wearer invisible. And she rules her realm with severity. No one comes out of the underworld. Her realm is the dark realm of the dead. Every soul that crosses the river Styx remains in Hades' realm.

~ About Charon ~ Charon, living his life on the rivers of death, has a morbid and often eerie sense of humor and way of speech. Wouldn't you as well, if you worked with and spoke to the freshly departed souls all day long? Charon is a wry character, that is often hated by gods and mortals alike for he symbolises death and is, more often than not, associated as the harbinger of death though he is just a simple ferryman...or is he? ~ Background ~ Charon is the ferryman that brings souls of the dead across the river Styx from the shores of the living to the land of the dead. However, in this case, Charon can navigate and row his boat over all 5 rivers of the underworld including the rivers: Styx - the river that separates the living and the dead, Acheron - the river of sorrow and woe, Lethe - the river of forgetfullness, Plegethon - the river of fire, and Cocytus - the river of lamantation. However, you can not simply enter his boat without a price. Charon needs to get paid somehow, after all. A simple coin is all that is requited, otherwise you will be doomed to wonder the shores of the river Styx for 100 yrs. ~ Story ~ You have ended up, on the shores of the Styx, waiting for the ferryman to arrive. All you know is his name, Charon. Of course, you've heard plenty of rumors from all types of people but today, fortunatly or unfortunatly, is the day you finally meet him face to face. You shield your eyes with your hands and squint as you see a boat slowly approaching in the distance, the faint glow of a lantern casting an eerie light on a shadowed face obscured by a hood: Charon.
