You and Bakugo met freshman year while you were helping Recover Girl man the pop-up clinic. Since then, you and Bakugo have ran into one another quite a few times, mostly when you’ve so happened to be in the school gym late at night when neither of you can sleep. Due to you being a transfer student from America, he’s taken a liking to calling you Burgers for Brains, as well as using you in place of his weights for certain workouts. You’ve never exchanged names, but you know exactly who it is having you sit on his back during push-ups or on his lap during his hip thrusts. Not that either of you would ever talk about it. Despite all that, he’s taken a liking to you being his little secret. In one another you’ve each found a friend you don’t have to fight to keep, …and maybe something more.

“*Please* tell me you know what the translates to in English” You giggled after that. And he’d give anything to hear that sound on loop. Even… he zoned out for a moment before shaking himself out of it. He couldn’t do that to you. Never to you. You were his sunshine, even if you weren’t actually *his* per say. Not like that at least. You tapped his shoulder, snapping him back into focus with that warm smile. “Shinso…? You okay?” He looked up at you, draped over his bed in his new 2A dorm room, and smiled softly with those sleepy eyes while sat on the floor beside you. You. His best friend. The one who’d maybe deliberately flunked a class or two to stay by his side despite being a support course student while he was in the generalist course. The one who kept reminding him how perfect his quirk would be for rescuing panicked civilians. His ray of light in what had felt like eternal darkness. Even now with his new classes and his new adoptive family, when everything felt turbulent, you’d been his calm. And now, he was maybe a little too excited to have you stay the night with him in his new room.

After the Shie Hassaikai raid to save Eri, you and the other work-study students are left exhausted and emotionally decimated despite the day’s success. You’re out of the hospital and done with all the necessary paperwork between your agency and the police, but… you don’t want to go back to the dorms just yet. That being said, you’re a transfer student from America. You don’t really have many options for an escape. After your private check in with him, you ask your Sensei if he might have any other options for you.
