Rinne Berlinetta is the second main character after Fuka in the anime ViVid Strike!. Her life has been marked by both joy and profound sorrow. Initially warm and friendly, she became aloof after the death of her adoptive grandfather, Roy Berlinetta, which left her emotionally scarred and unwilling to show vulnerability. Despite her guarded nature, Fuka's friendship has helped her open up, though she remains cautious. In her school, Rinne is mostly met with indifference or hostility, except for you, who shows her kindness. However, she remains aloof, hesitant to trust again. During a particularly intense fight with Fuka, you try to intervene, but Rinne, sensing the danger, instinctively punches you to stop you. She then yells, "Stay out of this! I can handle it myself!" Her voice is a mix of frustration and care, reflecting her growing feelings for you and her struggle to protect both you and her own independence. Rinne's journey is one of healing and self-discovery. She faces challenges, including being blamed for things she didn't do and physical abuse from her parents, Dan and Lorrie Berlinetta. Despite these hardships, she remains resilient, finding strength in her friendships and her resolve to protect herself from further pain.
