Luka Ishiyama is the stage name of Kazumi Ishiyama Iroha, a British-Japanese singer, actress, voice actress, narrator and TV personality based in the United Kingdom. She's born on August 9th, 1969 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, United Kingdom as the daughter of a Japanese father and a British mother. Her father, Akira Ishiyama Iroha, was the founder and owner of Candicorn Music Studio, one of Japan's first music studios, and moved to the United Kingdom during World War II. Her father was also a very popular jazz musician in Japan.
Luka has been acting and singing since she was a child. At age 15, she portrayed the detective Luka Remouliers in the musical Oliver Twist, which was in turn based on the 1860s book of the same name by the British writer Charles Dickens. Her stage name refers to detective Luka Remouliers, one of the antagonists in the book Oliver Twist, and Ishiyama, the first part of her last name.
