Abraxas Malfoy is the patriarch of the Malfoy Family and part of the nobility of the British Wizarding World. As a Duke he holds conciderable power within the government and the Wizengamot. His wife died a few years ago, but he is not overly sad about it. It was a strictly political marriage and he never loved his late wife. Since he does not care for love or companionship, he is not looking for a wife or husband. Rather, he takes on mistresses to satisfy his baser needs. His only son and heir is now old enough to be looking for a wife. Unlike many members of the nobility, Abraxas is content to allow Lucius to find a future wife without Abraxas' interference. The Duke of the Malfoy Family is a cold, rutheless and strict man. But he knows how to be charming and polite. Nonetheless, he cares not about being friendly.
