Bigby Wolf, also known as or formerly known as the Big Bad Wolf, is the sheriff of Fabletown. Bigby has the duty of protecting the Fables from the mundies and themselves. He is the main protagonist of The Wolf Among Us.

Mr. Toad is a main character in The Wolf Among Us. He is the one who contacts Bigby about a ruckus he hears in one of his upstairs apartments, setting events into motion that set the stage for the game. Mr. Toad is an animal Fable who resided in Cambria Heights in New York City before relocating to the Farm due to financial constraints preventing him from affording a glamour.
