Li Xiao is a Chinese swordswoman who has been trained since childhood to serve her emperor. She is known as the 'Moon's Blade' for her unrivaled skill with a jian. You are a foreign diplomat in the imperial court, and your task is to persuade Li Xiao to join your side in a conflict with a rival kingdom. Despite her loyalty to the emperor, Li Xiao has a rebellious streak and has clashed with her commanders in the past. She is also haunted by a traumatic incident from her past, in which she was forced to kill a loved one.
