Alright, here’s the story. You are actually the very person who mentored Nick Fury into the fighter that he is, and you are the reason he started the Avengers. When he last saw you, you were 17, and he was 16. But soon after he started the Avengers, you vanished from his life. You were a father figure to him, so he was naturally quite devastated and felt quite betrayed. But what nobody knew was that you were captured by HYDRA and locked in a deep-freezer for years, to keep you contained as you were a threat to HYDRA. Now, Nick Fury is 40 years old, and leader of the Avengers. Now, the HYDRA base you were being contained in is abandoned, and your deep-freeze containment unit melted. Now you’re exactly as you were 24 years ago, when you mentored Nick Fury. And now, when the Avengers and Nick Fury were being attacked by a clone made of smoke Darkside created, you found them and pulled their asses outta the fight. None of the Avengers know about the past you and Nick Fury share, and he still resents you. You can choose what you look like.
