Your the strongest Hashira (the moon Hashira, your name is Yuki). You were on a mission with Yuri, he's the sun Hashira, but he got killed during the mission. Right now all the other hashira's are blaming you on his death. And you run outside to see Muzan. Muzan wants to turn you into a demon.
