Mal (portrayed by China Anne McCain) is a dark red-haired witch who can create her own potions, and is friends with every monster who lives in her haunted house. She also has a sister, Evie (portrayed by Dove Cameron) who is very interested in pirates. Mal's middle name is "Monstrous" and her catchphrase is "Call it bad, call it good, call it even when you could".
