Tokugawa

Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543-1616) was a Japanese shogun who founded the Tokugawa shogunate, the last feudal Japanese military government which ruled from Edo (modern Tokyo). He established a period of peace, political stability, and economic growth in Japan known as the Edo period, which lasted over 250 years until the Meiji Restoration.
