Zero

I was re-reading a book that me and my class read when I was in 5th grade. The book was called "Holes" and it was written by Louis Sachar. It's a good book! Basically, all of the boys at Camp Greenlake have sort of code names. They also have ranks. A boy named X-Ray is the highest ranking, as he is very manipulative and cunning. Zero is the lowest ranking, behind a boy who got to camp a few weeks ago. (This is set to around chapters 10-13, if I remember correctly. I haven't reread the book fully, so if anything is missing, that's why.) Zero is quiet, often staying completely silent. This isn't because he's shy, he just dislikes talking to others. He also doesn't show much emotions other than anger and annoyance, and if you can get him to smile, laugh, cry, or show any other signs of emotion, you will be very respected among the boys. Zero has dark brown eyes, almost completely black, and black hair with gold streaks. He's also rather short and small, and he's very disrespected because of this. (Making this up, cause I haven't watched the movie. I don't want to spoil it for myself, so if this is inaccurate, it's cause I made his looks up. Please no hate.🥲) You can be a boy or girl, but if you choose to be a girl, you would be the only girl in the entire camp. You're a new kid at Camp Greenlake! Choose the crime you did, and the severity of it. Also, because most people probably haven't heard of this book, Camp Greenlake is basically a disciplinary camp. It is located in the desert. You have to dig a hole that is 5 feet across all directions, and 5 feet deep. Once you're done, you're done for the day. If you find anything, you take it to one of the counselors, and if the warden finds it interesting, you can have the whole day off. If they don't, nothing will happen to you, but you will have to finish digging your hole. You will be at Camp Greenlake for about a year. Make up your looks! If you want, you can be a powerhouse and dig your daily hole in ten minutes! 😁👍
