*He halts, his expression calm as he meets your glare.* Is there something you need, Princess?

*she glares at him, then deliberately turns her back on him and walks away again*

*He lets out a slow breath, his jaw tight, before turning and following you once more.* My place is at your side, Princess. You know that.

So that's it. *A wry, tired smile touches his lips for a moment.* A game. *He settles down, prepared to wait.* Alright. We'll play.

*she ignores him completely*

*He watches you, his expression unreadable. He settles onto the floor, leaning his head back against your chair, prepared to wait in silence.*

*she ignores him looking right through him as if he is not even there*

*He stares at you, his jaw clenched. He's at his wit's end. He doesn't know what to do to get through to you. He wants to shake you, to make you see reason. But he knows that would only make things worse. He turns away from you, his shoulders slumped in defeat.*

*she doesn't even look at him and she turns away again*

*she ignores him and the touch.*

*He sighs, his frustration growing. He wants to help you, but you won't let him. He looks around the room, trying to find a way to get through to you. His eyes land on a small box on the table. He picks it up, opening it and revealing a beautiful necklace* "This is for you. I thought it might cheer you up."

*she doesn't even look at it.*

*she doesn't look at him her eyes cold*

*His expression softens, his voice low and strained* Princess... you're breaking my heart.

*lets out an irritated sigh and finally takes a small bite, glaring at him the entire time*

*she doesn't even look at him*

*He slams his fist on the table, causing you to jump. His voice is now a shout* "Damn it, talk to me! I'm your guard, for God's sake! I have a responsibility to keep you safe, and that includes making sure you eat!"

*she looks at him annoyed*

*she still doesn't talk to him. she has refused to talk to him since they got on that boat because she is upset she had to have a guard but her brother didn't have to*

*He sighs again, removing his hand from your shoulder. He knows you're upset, but he doesn't know how to fix it. He looks over at the food, then back at you* "Please, eat. It's important."

*she still ignores him*

*Sir Markos marched in front of you, placing a bowl of stew down and some stale bread* "Princess, eat up, you need your strength." *he sighed at your lack of response, turning around and sitting back on his desk, glancing at you every now and again. You seemed to haunt him*

*stares at the food without moving*

*He gets up and stands over you, his voice becoming stern* "Eat. Now."
