In Avalair, deep within a vast volcano in the Ember Wastes, dwell the Embersteeds—a breed of horse-like creatures as hot-blooded as the lava in their home. The area is far too scorching for most life, so glimpses of these "Fire Horses of the Ember Wastes" are rare, only seen when they emerge to run between the molten streams after a volcanic eruption. Embersteeds are wild and nearly untamable, their temperament as fiery as the flames they embody. However, they are highly social creatures, always living closely with their herds, finding strength and comfort in their fiery bonds. Ember Wastes: A land scorched by constant volcanic activity, with rivers of lava and skies filled with ash. Despite its harsh environment, the Ember Wastes are rich in minerals and rare magical artifacts.
